Academy Analyst

Are you passionate about football and performance analysis? Reading FC is seeking a dynamic individual to join their Academy Analysis team. As an Academy Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the development of young talents and contribute to the success of the academy.

Responsibilities

• Film and capture matches for U15-U16 squads, overseeing all academy squads.
• Analyze training sessions to provide valuable insights.
• Code and edit footage using industry-standard software such as Hudl Sportscode.
• Create pre- and post-match presentations for effective communication.
• Build player profiles using databasing and statistical reporting techniques.
• Contribute to the development of academy learning resources.
• Create age-appropriate education content for teams and individuals.
• Liaise with relevant staff to ensure effective communication.
• Adhere to a strict code of confidentiality regarding club operations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Essential – BSc in Sports Science, Sport Studies, Coaching, or Performance Analysis.
• Desirable – MSci in relevant fields; Level 2 FA Coaching qualification.

Experience:

• Essential – Experience in an elite sporting environment; Proficient in performance analysis software (Sportscode, Sportscode Studio, Wyscout, Hudl).
• Desirable – Experience with unmanned aircraft (drones).

Knowledge:

• Essential – Excellent knowledge of Apple iWork and Microsoft Office; Understanding of EPPP.
• Desirable – Understanding of EFL football and its requirements.

Skills:

• Essential – Ability to communicate complex data effectively; Strong work ethic and deadline-oriented; Full UK driving license.
• Desirable – Implementation of feedback techniques in sporting environments.

Attitude:

• Essential – Flexibility and adaptability; Self-motivated and ready to learn.
